Echoing Heaven

By faith, the earth echoes what has already been established in heaven.

An example of this is found in Matthew 8:16–17: “When evening had come, they brought to Him many who were demon-possessed. And He cast out the spirits with a word, and healed all who were sick, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Isaiah the prophet, saying: ‘He Himself took our infirmities and bore our sicknesses.’”

Wait—what!? I thought it was by the blood of Jesus at the cross that He took our infirmities and bore our sicknesses. I thought Jesus came to earth as a man! How could He fulfill that prophecy without actually being conceived by His mother, Mary, and later being crucified?

The answer is in Revelation 13:8: “All who dwell on the earth will worship Him, whose names have not been written in the Book of Life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.”

See, Jesus is the beginning and the end—our Bible words it, “The Alpha and the Omega.”  The plan of redemption was established in love and unwavering faith from before the very beginning of man.

The faith of the Godhead is so strong that, before the foundations of the world, Jesus had already lived out His mission by faith. While still in heaven with the Father, He saw and embraced the entire plan—becoming our Savior and enduring the cross as a man. That faith was so powerful that He not only saw His future, but He pre-lived it! I believe He felt every nail, every stripe from the whip that ripped across His body, and every single thorn that pierced into His head.

I know that sounds almost sci-fi—hard for our human minds to grasp—but that’s what faith is. It’s seeing the outcome from beginning to end. It’s knowing that you know.

In Mark 11:22, Jesus says, “Have faith in God.” But in the original Greek, it’s more accurately translated: “Have the God kind of faith.”

“So Jesus answered and said to them, ‘Have faith in God. For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, “Be removed and be cast into the sea,” and does not doubt in his heart but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says. Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them.’” (Mark 11:22-24)

This is kingdom living. When we speak and believe from our hearts what God has promised, we are echoing what’s already been established in heaven since the foundation of the world.

That’s why Matthew 6:31–33 tells us not to worry about what we’ll eat, wear, or where we’ll live, but to seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to us.

It’s already been established! We access it by that same God kind of faith.

Let’s live our lives echoing what heaven has already declared. If we are citizens of heaven, as Philippians 3:20 says, then let’s walk in it—reaping the benefits, giving all glory and honor to our Father and Lord, and reflecting His nature through love and faith.

Pray this Prayer:

Heavenly Father,
Thank You for establishing every promise before the foundation of the world. Today I choose to walk by faith and not by sight—to echo what You’ve already spoken from heaven. Help me trust Your Word completely and live with confidence, knowing that all Your promises are yes and amen in Christ Jesus. Strengthen my heart to walk with purpose—believing, speaking, and acting in alignment with Your truth. May my life reflect Your love, faithfulness, and glory as I become more like Jesus by echoing Your Word.
 In Jesus’ mighty name, Amen.
